         SEMI DRIVERS NEEDED FOR THE SEASON!!

We will need many CASES OF WATER FOR THE BAND!

NEW!!!!   DECATUR CENTRAL BAND MEMORY BOOK

The Memory Book is a publication created by the Decatur Central Band Boosters.  It is targeted for distribution near the end of the current band season (Spring 2009).  We encourage parents to present these books to their sponsors and contributing businesses so they may be displayed at their business locations.  The Memory Books are also an opportunity for parents to recognize their special band student with a special dedication.  This would be especially nice for seniors.  If you sell an ad to a business your student’s account will be credited 50% of the amount sold.  The Memory Books will be sold in April 2009 for $5.00 each however anyone placing an ad/dedication in the Memory Book will receive a book free of charge.

You may submit general band photos for the Memory Book although inclusion is not guaranteed.  Purchasing an ad of your own is a great way to insure your favorite pictures appear in the Memory Book.  The attached order form is for parents and businesses that wish to advertise in this year’s Memory Book.  If you sell an ad to a business, be sure your students name appears on the order form to receive proper credit.  All media will be returned to their owners and submissions are due at the Band Boosters Meeting in March 2009.

Have you volunteered to work at a concession stand yet?  We need you . . . desperately!  This is how the band raises the majority of the funds to run the band program.  We now have a concession schedule of multiple dates in September that need coverage.  Please do your part and work at a concession stand at least once per month.  Click here for the September schedule and then email Melia to let her know what dates you can work.  Everyone's help is needed and greatly appreciated.
