Tim Cox is a Ft. Wayne native who earned a B.S. in Music Education and a minor in Jazz Studies from Ball State University. He also earned a Master’s degree in Conducting from the same university. Bands under Mr. Cox’s direction have traveled across the county and earned numerous awards. He lives in Decatur Township with his wife Carrie. Mr Cox's two children, Evan and Emily, are Decatur Central graduates and currently attend college. Interests include spending time with his family, traveling, and music. He gives glory to God who has blessed him with his amazing family and a wonderful opportunity to do what he loves to do.

Michael comes to us with a lot of teaching and performing experience at the HS level. He has taught some of the finest from Texas (Spring HS) to Georgia (Kennesaw Mtn. and Harrison HS) as Drum Corps experience at Santa Clara Vanguard / Cavaliers.

Zach is originally from Columbus, Indiana. After graduating from Butler University, he started his career at South Vermillion HS followed by Logansport HS and most recently Twin Lakes HS. His groups have received consistent gold ratings, numerous ISSMA All-Music Awards, multiple marching band state finals appearances, and “With Distinction” awards including the Jazz Band and both Concert Bands in 2017.

 
Along with teaching, Zach has enjoyed playing keyboard for Praise and Worship groups across the state and has been an active member with the Fellowship of American Baptist Musicians for many years.

 
He and, his wife, Jessica have a son, Parker, and two daughters, Avery and Raegan. They are all very excited to be a part of the Decatur Central Band Program.

Lyujohn Williams

Jared comes to us from Fishers HS and has experience at Plainfield HS and Music City Mystic.

Lyujohn (pronounced LA-jahn) is a graduate of George County High School located in Lucedale, MS.

Before coming to DMS, Lyujohn was a music teacher at IPS Meredith Nicholson School 96. He was also a technical assistant and musician at Carey Dinner Theater. 

Lyujohn is currently the Head Band Director at Decatur Middle School where his goal is to create great fundamental musicians who are prepared to join the Decatur Central High School Band.
