Tim Cox is a Ft. Wayne native who earned a B.S. in Music Education and a minor in Jazz Studies from Ball State University. He also earned a Master’s degree in Conducting from the same university. Bands under Mr. Cox’s direction have traveled across the county and earned numerous awards. He lives in Decatur Township with his wife Carrie. Mr Cox's two children, Evan and Emily, are Decatur Central graduates and currently attend college. Interests include spending time with his family, traveling, and music. He gives glory to God who has blessed him with his amazing family and a wonderful opportunity to do what he loves to do.
Stacy has had a long career in the world of color guard. She was a part of the Center Grove HS Guard, Carolina Crown, and lots of Winter Guard.
She has a proven track record of growing a program as well as competitive success.
She has been active in the past two weeks recruiting and helping to design the marching band show.
Zach is originally from Columbus, Indiana. After graduating from Butler University, he started his career at South Vermillion HS followed by Logansport HS and most recently Twin Lakes HS. His groups have received consistent gold ratings, numerous ISSMA All-Music Awards, multiple marching band state finals appearances, and “With Distinction” awards including the Jazz Band and both Concert Bands in 2017.
Along with teaching, Zach has enjoyed playing keyboard for Praise and Worship groups across the state and has been an active member with the Fellowship of American Baptist Musicians for many years.
He and, his wife, Jessica have a son, Parker, and two daughters, Avery and Raegan. They are all very excited to be a part of the Decatur Central Band Program.

Jared comes to us from Fishers HS and has experience at Plainfield HS and Music City Mystic.
Lyujohn (pronounced Luh-JAHN) is a native of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. He earned his BME at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Before coming to DMS, Lyujohn was a music teacher at IPS Meredith Nicholson School 96.
Along with teaching, Lyujohn has a passion for jazz and plays trumpet for numerous bands around the Indianapolis area, including JoySwing! Jazz Orchestra and the Indiana Wind Symphony.
He and his wife, Becca, live in Indianapolis and are active worship leaders at Camby Community Church. They also have a rescue cat named Gigi.
Maya grew up in Northwest Indiana and graduated from Highland High School, where she worked part time on the band staff as she completed her BME in Music Education.
She earned her degree at Butler University and landed at DMS as Associate Band Director.
She loves band in all its forms and is thrilled to be on the Decatur team!
