The DCHS Band & Guard will be visiting New York City and then go to Philadelphia were they will march in that city's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

  • Upper Right - Click the"Trip Login" link ​​
  • Select "Register a New User"
  • Fill out contact information

Trip Q & A​
  • When is the Trip?
    The trip will take place starting Monday November 21st. We'll return on Saturday November 26th. 
     
  • Where is the Band & Guard Going? 
    They are going to New York City and then to Philadelphia, PA where they will march in The Philadelphia Thanksgiving Day Parade.
     
  • Are Students Required to Go? 
    Students are not required to go. This is not a mandatory trip.
     
  • Can Parents & Siblings Go on the Trip?
    Absolutely! In fact, the more people that go, the less the trip costs per person. 
    ​
  • Is the Band Traveling with a Tour Group?
    • The entire trip will be coordinated using Music Travel Consultants. This includes transportation, ticket purchasing to attractions, dining plans and hotel accommodations.
    • Music Travel Consultants is a tour operator travel company that puts together customized trips for its clients. They are based right here in Indianapolis.
    • The DCHS Band Program has used Music Travel Consultants many times in the past when they've travelled.
       
  • How Much Will the Trip Cost?
    • Per person price based on room occupancy.
    • Pricing will be set based on active manifest at 30 days prior to trip departure.

  • When Is the First Payment Due?
    • ​The first payment is a non-refundable deposit of $100.00 that is due on 03-01-22.
       
  • Is There an Installment Plan?
    • All payments will be handled by Music Travel Consultants. The DCHS Band program will not be collecting or tracking any money or payments for this trip.
    • ​Accounts not paid on or before a payment is due will be frozen.
    • Contact Music Travel's finance department to discuss alternative payment plans.
    • Music Travel's finance department must be notified if skipping installments due to expected fundraising proceeds

  • Please Note...
    • ​Deposit must be paid to secure your spot.
    • Registration operates on a space-availability basis
    • Once the trip reaches capacity, you will not be able to register online.
       
  • Important Deadlines
    • September 22, 2022: Last day to cancel with refund (excluding non-refundable deposits)
    • October 17, 2022: Last day fundraising will be accepted
       
  • Will There Be Fundraisers to Help Offset the Cost?
    • The band and guard program will have fundraisers yet to be determined to help offset the costs involved. Information will be released via the band's social media pages, through email and on this website when it becomes available.
       
  • Group Protection Coverage
    • Please view the PDF information packet for information about travel insurance. For a small fee, your trip is covered up to a certain amount in the event of cancellation or unforeseen circumstances. You can also email Michael Gray at Musical Travel Consultants with insurance questions.
       
  • Covid-19 Vaccinations
    • As of right now, New York City requires people to show proof of vaccination against Covid-19 prior to entering any establishment including businesses, restaurant, hotels and tourist attractions. This is a state of New York law. Please remember, DCHS Band & Guard Program nor Travel Music Consultants have no say in this law or the policies of New York City or New York State.
