DCHS Band Accomplishments 2016-2017 School Year

Marching Band Season (Fall 2016)

• Successfully implemented new rehearsal procedures

• Band Camp—new schedule and lots of fun!

• Welcome new Assistant Band Director Mr. Ryan Day

• Middle School Band Director Mr. Dan Herrick helping full time & student teacher

• Student participation grew

• Channel 8 WISH-TV Band of the Week

• First Place at the Fishers and Lawrence Central show

• First Ever BOA FINALS APPEARANCE—Dayton

• Hosted 4th "Contest of Champions" marching invitational

• Gold Rating at Regionals 2nd place—Outstanding Visual

• Class B Semi State—6th Place

• 8th Grade Band Night

• Hosted the Class C Semi State for the 6th time (biggest turn out in 6 years)

• Renovation of the Band Semi Complete

• 22 Seniors

• Booster Parent involved hit an all time high!!

• CLASS B STATE FINALS!!!!!!!!!!!!

• BOA Super Regional—highest placement and score every by DCHS

• Outstanding Guard, Percussion, Music, Visual awards
